Heart Health
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
This two-session program focuses
on the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency cardiac
care. Case discussions from AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support core
curriculum will be followed by practice stations to integrate the
knowledge and skills necessary.
PREREQUISITES: Basic Dysrhythmias
identification skills and current BLS Healthcare Provider card.
PLEASE NOTE: You must attend
both classes! Minimum age requirement is 13 years. Classes are
taught by Lifeline Healthcare Education.

Cardiac Rehab Supervised Exercise Class
Offered Monday through Friday, by appointment. Physician release

CPR: BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification Class
This four-hour course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for
victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device,
a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator
(AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It
is intended for participants who provide heath care to patients
in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital.
These courses are taught in accordance with the American Heart
Association Guidelines.
PLEASE NOTE: Minimum age requirement is 13
years. Classes are taught by Lifeline Healthcare Education.

Low-Cost Cholesterol Screening
Think heart health. Find out your total cholesterol and HDL (good)
cholesterol levels by participating in this screening. Fasting
required. No appointment is needed. A physician referral is not
necessary. Stop by the Laboratory Department at South Coast Medical
Center during normal business hours. Call 499-7202 for information.
