Susan Morrison Elected to South
Coast Medical Center Board
Susan Morrison of Dana Point has been elected to the SCMC Foundation’s
Board of Trustees. Ms. Morrison brings an impressive background
in marketing, sales and community involvement to the Board.
Originally from the Midwest, Ms. Morrison attended college in
Colorado, followed by a notable career. She served as the Senior
Executive Vice President for MBNA America (since acquired by Bank
of America) in Wilmington, Delaware. While in Delaware, she also
served on the President’s Advisory Council for the Greater
Chesapeake Bay Girl Scouts of America, as well as serving on the
Board of Director’s for Ronald McDonald House of Delaware
and Children’s Beach House. She moved to California in 1975.
“Susan started out with the Women’s Advisory Council
and since then has jumped in with both feet to help us,” said
Elizabeth Schneider, Executive Director of the SCMC Foundation. “We
are thrilled to have her on our Board.”
Today, Ms. Morrison is a member of the Dana Point Women’s
Club and the South Coast Medical Center’s Women’s Auxiliary
Council. She is delighted to be making Dana Point her home and
becoming more involved in the community.
Founded in 1959, South Coast Medical Center is a 208-bed facility
located in Laguna Beach that serve the cities of Laguna Beach,
Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano and
Aliso Viejo.
