Clinical Pathology deals with analysis of body fluids and blood and includes blood banking, hematology, chemistry, and microbiology. Licensed clinical scientists perform the testing.

Services include:

Blood Banking
Tests blood products that will eventually be transfused into a patient.

Hematology
Tests the clotting ability and quantity of blood cells in a sample.

Chemistry
Tests blood, urine and other body fluids for chemicals, enzymes, and hormones.

Microbiology
Body fluids and tissue are submitted for growth of bacteria, fungi and viruses. Also tests antibiotic sensitivity.
