Kenneth Martinez, M.D.

Serving as one of the Co-Medical Directors of SCMC's Movement Disorders
program is neurologist and movement disorder specialist Ken Martinez, M.D. Dr. Martinez graduated from USC’s Keck School of Medicine and did both his internship and residency at UC San Diego.

As a neurologist, Dr. Martinez plays a vital role in the patient’s overall care, including diagnosis of the movement disorder as well as medication management. He works closely with a team of specialists, including physical and occupational therapists, speech pathologists, registered dietitians, and if appropriate, neurosurgeons to provide the most comprehensive and individualized treatment plan.

Dr. Martinez uses treatment protocols and methodologies developed by neurologist Michael Rezak, M.D., Ph.D., one of the country’s leading movement disorder specialists and director of the Movement Disorders Center at Glenbrook and Evanston Hospitals in Chicago.
