South Coast Beachcombers Walking Club

Walking is an ideal activity for anyone who wants to get into shape. It's accessible and convenient — you need no equipment other than comfortable shoes — and it's easy on your knees, ankles and back.

Walk your way to fitness by joining the senior walking program, South Coast Beachcombers. Participants meet weekly at the Dana Point Harbor on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. A representative from the hospital's rehabilitation department leads the one-hour brisk walk through the harbor. Participation is free.

Walkers are encouraged to wear comfortable exercise clothing and shoes as well as consult a doctor before starting the exercise program. To enroll in the walking program, call (949) 499-7114.
